The Bridesmaids — Oh, I hope it’s good

The Bridesmaids, written by Kristin Wiig and Annie Mumolo, starring Kristin, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy and a host of other wonderful women, producted by Hollywood powerhouse and game changer Judd Appetow is opening tomorrow, May 13 and god I hope it’s good.

Because so many of my favorite actors are in it. Because it’s a movie about women. Becuase it looks funny. Because it looks like a movie that shows how women really talk and act.

Because the last movie I was excited about because it was about women was Tina Fey’s Mean Girls. Look at the career she’s had since then and the great entertainment she has gifted us with. I’m a huge fan of 30 rock and Bossypants on audio is awesome.

Here’s to hoping for awesome.

  1. Have you seen it yet? – it’s laugh-aloud funny…although the lavatorial humour part of the film went on for a tad too long.

I’ve now joined Twitter, Malle – am @Sharon_Kendrick and will be doing my best to provide interesting Tweets and tell readers all about my books. In the UK this week, I have a short story being published which links into a FREE DOWNLOAD of one of my books. It was a challenge but hugely enjoyable to write a complete story in 1.500 words, rather than 50,000!

LOVED your “fascinators” at the Harlequin briefing!
