Harlequin Digital Clinic at RWA

My social media team is hosting a digital clinic on the Wednesday of RWA for Harlequin authors only (that’s all Harlequin Enterprises Ltd’s authors whether MIRA, LUNA, Steeple Hill, Carina Press, etc.).

We’ve held a number of workshops throughout the year on various social media tools like blogs, Facebook and Twitter and we wanted to be able to offer a truly hands-on experience at which authors could attend and ask questions. There will be a short presentation at the top of every hour and then we (me, Jenny Bullough, Jayne Hoogenberk, Angela James and some of the eHarlequin.com board hosts) will man computers and go through show and tell!

The schedule:
Wednesday, July 28 – Digital Clinic – Dolphin, Europe 3

9am Community (eHarlequin.com). Including new site design
10am Websites & Blogs. Including author affiliate program
11am Facebook & Twitter
Noon **break for lunch
1pm Devices & Formats & Transmedia storytelling (Alison Norrington)

Publishing consultant and author Alison Norrington will be there throughout the day to speak about her experiences with social media and transmedia storytelling. Plus we have 5 Kobo eReaders to give away — we’ll raffle off one every hour.

So if you write for us and want the chance to ask your questions in a casual atmosphere do stop by! And you can ask a Facebook question during the community session, etc.

So Where the Heck has Malle been for the past Six Months?

I know. I disappeared for ages. I have a good excuse — the development and launch of Carina Press — and promise that now I am back for good. I’ll blog about starting a digital-first imprint soon, but if you are interested in lots of information behind the story check out the Carina Press blog.

  1. Good to see you back, Malle.
I got so much out of the webinars. Thanks to the team again – shame I can’t make RWA this year.

You’re welcome, Christina and thanks for letting us know you liked the webinars. A new series will begin again in the fall!
